Magnesium Molybdate
Magnesium molybdate is a cream-colored odorless powder with irritating inorganic chemicals. It has general functions of molybdate and is widely used in many fields such as energy storage, catalysis, photoluminescence, photonic crystals, scintillator materials and so on. The CAS number is 12013-21-7 and the molecular formula is MgMoO4.

Production Method
1.Dissolve sodium molybdate dihydrate in ethylene glycol to configure solution A with a concentration of 0.2-0.5 mol/liter, and dissolve magnesium chloride hexahydrate in deionized water to configure solution B with a concentration of 0.2-0.5 mol/liter;
2.Slowly adding solution A to solution B to form a uniform mixed solution under electromagnetic stirring. The volume ratio of solution A to solution B is 1:1;
3.After stirring the mixed solution obtained in step 2 for 10-15 minutes, transfer it to the reactor, seal it, and react at 140-180°C for 5-10 hours. After the reaction, cool to room temperature naturally;
4.Centrifugally wash the product obtained in step 3 with a mixed solution of deionized water and ethanol for several times, and then dry at 60℃ overnight to obtain cream-colored flake magnesium molybdate.
Storage
Stored in normal temperature, and in a cool, ventilated, dry place, avoid direct sunlight.
Applications
Magnesium molybdate can be used in energy storage, catalysis, photoluminescence, photonic crystals, scintillator materials and other fields, such as:
1. Preparation of a modified cathode material for magnesium secondary batteries.
2. Prepare a high-temperature resistant molding compound.
