Molybdenum Target Chemical Properties

Molybdenum targets chemical properties are stable. At room temperature, it in air or water is stable, but when the temperature up to 400 ℃ it will occur slightly oxidized. Severe oxidation to produce MoO3 when the temperature reached 600 ℃ occurs. Hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and dilute alkali solution does not react with the molybdenum target, but it can dissolve in nitric acid, aqua regia or hot sulfuric acid solution.
