Pure molybdenum wire is a fine metallic wire made primarily from high-purity molybdenum (Mo), typically produced through powder metallurgy processes such as pressing, sintering, forging, and wire drawing. It features excellent high-temperature properties, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and strong corrosion resistance, making it widely used in high-temperature, vacuum, and electronic fields.
1. Main Composition and Manufacturing Process
Chemical Composition: Molybdenum content ≥99.95%, with extremely low levels of impurities (especially oxygen, carbon, iron, silicon, etc.)
Production Process:
Pressing molybdenum powder into rods
High-temperature sintering (usually in hydrogen atmosphere)
Hot forging and rolling into wire blanks
Multiple cold drawing steps to reach the desired wire diameter
