Sodium Molybdate Dihydrate Production Processes
Sodium molybdate dihydrate production processes and production methods are as follows:
1. caustic extraction method
The molybdenum concentrate after roasting can produce molybdenum trioxide, and then after caustic leaching can obtain sodium molybdate solution. The leaching agent after filtration, evaporation can obtain concentrated liquid. The concentrated liquid after cooling, crystallization, centrifugal separation and dried at 70 ~ 80 ℃ can obtain sodium molybdate.
The chemical equations are as following: 2MoS2+7O2→2MoO3+4SO2↑，MoO3+2NaOH+H2O→Na2MoO4·2H2O.
2. recrystallization method
Recrystallization method can obtain higher purity sodium molybdate dihydrate. The commercial grade sodium molybdate after recrystallization, dissolved in water, nitric acid is added to precipitate the dihydrate, molybdenum trioxide (MoO3 • 2H2O). After precipitation, it was thoroughly washed, dried and at 700 ℃ sublimation to obtain high purity molybdenum trioxide. And then it dissolved in sodium hydroxide solution, after concentrated, cooling and crystallization, drying, at 70 ~ 80 ℃ dried to obtain high purity sodium molybdate dihydrate.
The chemical equation is as following: Na2MoO4+2HNO3=MoO3+2NaNO3+H2O.
