Silicon Molybdenum Heating Rod

Silicon molybdenum heating rod is kind of heating element often used in various high-temperature furnace and heating equipment, also known as molybdenum disilicide. Silicon molybdenum rod normally used furnace temperature is 1300 ℃ -1800 ℃, widely used in metallurgy, glass, ceramics, magnetic materials, refractory materials, crystals, electronic components, manufacturing, and other fields and is a heating element for high-temperature sintering.

Silicon molybdenum rods as heating element used in high temperature furnace tips:
1. MoSi2 heating elements should not use in the temperature of 400 ℃ ~ 700 ℃, because in this unfavorable condition, the element will occur low-temperature oxidation. Temperature at 500 ~ 1700 ℃ is the best.
2. The MoSi2 heating element is suitable used in air, neutral atmosphere, because the reducing atmosphere such as hydrogen will damage the protective layer and chlorine and sulfur steam will directly damage the element.
3. The water vapor in high-temperature furnace will causes rapid aging of element, so before operation the furnace should dry for a while to let the water vapor out.
